Learn about our projects that have improved a concrete situation and filled a particular need. These projects have a start and an end point, and are usually infrastructure improvement projects (expanding classroom sizes in schools, building a professional training center, building a bakery) as well as projects that contribute to a specific purpose: financing professors´ salaries in a refugee camp, buying a car to provide medical services to areas most in need, or creating an agriculture and livestock plan for an orphanage.

With 70 students between 14 and 17 years old and five teachers, this school offers grades 10 and 11, the last two years before university. The majority of the students board at the school, as their houses are located in distant communities.

This building was constructed for the sole use of the bakery: to produce bread and provide training for the teenagers who live at the orphanage to learn the trade. Apart from the building, the bakery has been equipped with a new oven, equipment, and appliances necessary for baking.

A building constructed with spacious facilities to accommodate professional training courses, as in mechanics, computers, carpentry, design, etc. The space was handed over to STTC, a professional vocation center for young Burmese adults.

Colabora Birmania helps pay the professors’ salaries that were slashed in half when the NGO that previously maintained the school dropped out.

Mae La Oon is one of 9 refugee camps in Thailand along the Burmese border. It houses 18,900 people. Due to its many needs, Colabora Birmania has launched a project to create a farm, a garden, and a fish farm at the camp.
